Rural and Regional Resources Planning (Sustainable Development Stream) from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. In addition, he holds a PhD in Petroleum Economics from the University of Juba. He has over 20 years’ experience in the field of economics and development and has consulted for among others UNDP, UNICEF and UN-OCHA. He also holds a doctorate degree in Microbiology from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He has in the past conducted a study on the public health implications of massive contamination of drinking water sources in oil rich regions of Nigeria. He has in the past been engaged by the United Nations in Liberia to support the country's efforts to secure clean drinking water. He is interested in water science and management especially in rural and urban settings of developing nations and holds memberships in the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) and the International Water Association (IWA).
